Delete Account Policy

1. How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your account in two ways:

• In-app deletion (recommended): If you have access to the app, go to Profile → Info → Delete my account. This provides instant deletion with email verification.
• Manual request: If you cannot access the app, use the form at the bottom of this page to submit a deletion request. Our team will verify and process it within 7 days.

2. What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove all your personal data from our systems, including:

• Your account profile (name, email, preferences, subjects, grade, school)
• All learning content (tests, test attempts, scanned books, study plans, notes)
• Usage statistics and analytics linked to your account
• XP, levels, badges, and achievements
• Subscription information
• All other data associated with your user ID

3. Optional Deletion Feedback

During account deletion, you may optionally:

• Provide feedback: Share why you're deleting your account. This helps us improve our service.
• Consent to re-engagement: Opt-in to allow us to save your email address for future communications about new features or special offers.

What we store based on your choices:

This approach respects your right to deletion under GDPR, POPIA, CCPA, and other applicable data protection laws. You have full control over whether we retain your email for re-engagement purposes.

4. Email Verification Required

For security purposes, when deleting your account in-app, you must:

• Enter your email address to confirm your identity
• The email must match the email associated with your account
• This prevents accidental or unauthorized account deletion

5. Processing Time

• In-app deletion: Immediate. Your account and data are deleted right away after email verification.
• Manual requests: Processed within 7 business days after email verification.

You will receive a confirmation email once your account deletion is complete.

6. Your Rights

• Right to deletion: You have the right to request deletion of your account and personal data at any time.
• Right to withdraw consent: If you previously consented to re-engagement communications after account deletion, you can withdraw this consent at any time by emailing us at edusnap.ai.app@gmail.com.
• Right to information: You have the right to know what data is deleted and what (if anything) is retained with your consent.

7. Data Retention After Deletion

After account deletion:

• With re-engagement consent: Only your email address and optional feedback are retained, and only for as long as necessary for re-engagement purposes or until you unsubscribe.
• Without consent: Only anonymized feedback (no personal identifiers) may be retained for product improvement.
• Legal obligations: We may retain limited records if required by law or for dispute resolution, but this does not include your personal learning data.

If you cannot access the app to delete your account, you can submit a manual deletion request below. Our team will verify your request via email and process it within 7 business days.
